What a ruckus! :]

Hi everyone! :]

Hope everyone's having a good break so far! I just thought I'd blog since I'm sitting here extremely bored at work. Anyway, I thought our midterm went swell :D We did gather quite a crowd around us, and a lot of people were really curious as to what was going on with our large group. A lot of people asked what was going on, and when people discovered the message we were trying to portray, many people gave us their support. We made quite a ruckus and I'm sure our message was made clear to quite a few people.

I thought everyone did great in their performances! The spoken word group had some really moving acts, and I'm glad that people were finally able to hear the stories that we've experienced. The acting group was great [and by the way.. who was that random man that just appeared out of no where? You guys were so good that he thought it was real and not just an act! haha :D] I felt like their topic hit the nail on the head because it isn't uncommon to see elderly people walking around collecting recyclables to make a living. Sadly, they're doing a lot of dirty work just to get by and they aren't even living above the poverty line. It's sad that they have to suffer through all that just to make it.

The dance group.. haha, well, sorry Amanda if I hit you, but a lot of moves I didn't do because we were so close together. Oh well, it was fun anyway, and we all did a great job considering we learned the choreography the night before and practiced it 2 hours before class. haha.

Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate everyone because we didn't crash under pressure - instead, we came out as a whole and did an awesome job. Yay us! :D We finished the midterm in the amount of time given, and we didn't have to write that 5 page paper that everyone [Jiawei] was clearly dreading. Enjoy your break everyone! Remember - no school Tuesday! :D
